What it is
Absorbable polydioxanone threads introduced under the skin through a fine cannula, used to reposition and support tissue that has descended. Used across the cheeks, jawline, neck and eyebrows, and occasionally the nose or body.
How it works
The threads lift mechanically on the day and biologically over the months that follow, as the body forms a collagen sheath along each thread before absorbing it completely. A session typically runs 30 to 60 minutes; most people are back to routine within one to two days, with any swelling or bruising settling over the following days and intense exercise best avoided for about a week.
