What it is
The same platelet-rich fibrin, prepared from your blood and placed across the scalp where follicles are thinning but still alive. Most commonly used between ages 25 and 50, though it can be considered earlier or later depending on follicle health.
How it works
Growth factors held in the fibrin improve the blood supply around each follicle and prolong the growth (anagen) phase, so hairs stay thicker for longer before they shed. It has the most to work with while follicles are still active; areas that have been bald for years, where follicles are gone, generally see little effect.
